Mountain Retreat

This amazing house stands facing the Andes drinking up panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The architect believes "the inside is as important as the exterior".   Transparency dominates the design with each room having an entire side made of glass. The stunning landscape becomes part of the interior space and visually expands it.

With multiple sliding glass screens, a main bedroom that faces the Andes, and a service area located underground, this house really makes the most of its sloping plot.  The building seems weightless as the bottom parts of the walls are covered with a dark stone, and the exposed concrete walls evoke a feeling of natural earthy, beauty at one with the natural surroundings.
